Our approach to beekeeping is rooted in sustainability and respect for nature and each other. All community members prioritise the well-being of their bees, striving to create an environment that supports the bee’s natural instincts allowing them to thrive. By adopting responsible practices, we minimise our impact on the environment while maximising the benefits that bees provide.

Myfanwy
Myfanwy is the club chairperson and is a senior beekeeper, trainer and mentor. She keeps bees in the Castlecove region.

Steve
Steve is the club secretary and has been beekeeping for several years now on his homestead just off the ring of Kerry.

John is the club public relations officer and keeps bees just outside Sneem on his organic farm.

Conor is our training officer and started on his beekeeping journey only 2 years ago. He currently keeps 6 hives
