How to send a brood sample for testing 

Select a brood frame from the middle of the brood nest, and use a sharp knife to cut a piece of brood 15cm x 15cm. Do not include honey or nectar in the sample.

Wrap the sample in a sheet of newspaper and place it in a plastic freezer bag. Label clearly with your name and contact information and the hive identification number. A sample submission form can be downloaded from

Place the sample and submission form in a padded envelope and send it to:
